Congratulations to October's Elementary PE All Stars! Way to go Wildcats!

On October 10th Woodmore High School AP Biology and CCP Biodiversity classes gathered water quality data in two locations on the Portage River.
The first location was at Ory Park in Elmore. Here we gathered data for NASA, Partners for Clean Streams, and TMACOG's Student Watershed Watch. Students will compile and digitally submit their data to each of the organizations websites:
TMACOG: https://tmacog.org/water/student-watershed-watch
NASA GLOBE: https://vis.globe.gov/GLOBE/ and https://www.globe.gov/web/woodmore-high-school
Partners for Clean Streams: https://partnersforcleanstreams.org/projects/community-water-action-in-toledo/
The second location was at Earth Heart Farms in Oak Harbor. This provided a second location and down river point of comparison. This trip coincided with EHF's Field Day sponsored by the University of Toledo. After collecting data, we were led on a nature tour of the property where many frogs and grasshoppers were caught!
Be sure to check out our Facebook page for more pictures from their trip!

The lost and found at the Elementary/Middle School is getting a bit crowded! Take a look - you might just see something that belongs to you!

📣Attention Woodmore Community! 📣
We are trying something new! Our second grade students are putting on the first elementary music program of the year and we have decided to try a livestream! If this is successful (and the community finds value in it), we will work on bringing more programs from all schools to our YouTube channel!
The second grade program begins tomorrow at 6:30 PM. If you, or a friend or family member are unable to attend, use this link tomorrow to watch the show live! We hope you enjoy!

Woodmore Drama Club is proud to announce the first of many events with their spring production "Once Upon a Mattress." Once Upon a Mattress is set in a medieval kingdom, following the search for a princess to marry Prince Dauntless, whose domineering mother, Queen Aggravain, has made it nearly impossible for anyone to pass her rigorous tests. Enter Princess Winnifred, a spirited and unrefined young woman from the swamps, who arrives seeking the prince’s hand in marriage. Once Upon a Mattress offers a comedic twist of a fairy tale, touching on themes of tradition, family, and royalty.
Parents of students in grades 6-12 are encouraged to join us for a meeting on November 5, 7 PM at the Elementary School to learn more about the production. Auditions will be held on Sunday, November 10 - middle school students need to be at the Elementary Cafetorium at 4 PM to fill out paperwork. We will audition them from 4-4:45. High School students will follow with their auditions at 5 PM.
For more information please contact Director Marcia Busdeker by texting her at 419-559-3514.

📣 It's that time again! Woodmore Elementary and Middle Schools - let's "Stuff the Bus" for Woodville and Elmore food pantries!
Our amazing bus drivers will be in the cafetorium every morning October 21st-25th! Students and residents are encouraged to drop off items such as canned goods, cereal, pasta, peanut butter, and other pantry staples.
As a fun bonus, when dropping off items, students will get to put a ticket into a box voting for what bus driver or staff member should get a pie in the face. At the end of the week, the person with the most votes will get "pied" at an all-school assembly by one of the students who voted for them! 🥧 Thank you for supporting "Stuff the Bus!"

The Woodmore PTO has officially announced that the Cookie Dough and Gift Sale pickup will be happening on Wednesday, October 23rd from 3:30-6PM in the PK-8 Cafetorium! If you have any questions, please email the PTO at woodmorepto@gmail.com.

Today, Wednesday, October 16th, is Unity Day. We encourage students to wear ORANGE. "Unity Day" is a special day during the month of October to promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion of all students and originated from the PACERS National Bullying Prevention Center.
