We have two new members joining our Athletic Council! Wade Weaver is an WHS alumni who played football and basketball and was also a former assistant football coach from 1996-2005. Wade is excited to help strengthen the overall athletic program at WLS. Michelle Westerman is a parent with children at elementary and middle school. Her oldest will be attending middle school next year and will be part of the football and wrestling program. She is relatively new to the district but is excited to be part of the continued growth of our athletic programs. We thank you for volunteering your time to help our Woodmore Community! Go Cats!

Thank you to our Veterans! Our high school had their annual Veterans Day Luncheon and recognition program today. With performances by Justin Kigar, Rylan Vinson, the Symphonic Chorale, Jazz Band, a collection of great student speakers, and last but certainly not least, our guest speaker, Petty Officer Second Class Ross Wolford, it was a moving tribute to our Veterans. Thank you to all the parents and students who joined the Drama Club for our audition meeting this past Tuesday evening. If you missed the meeting and still want to audition, please feel free to join us this Sunday at the K-8 building in Woodville. Students in grades 6-8 will audition from 4-4:45 and those in grades 9-12 will audition from 5-?. Before auditioning, there will be paperwork that needs to be filled out by each participant. Last week the Elementary and Middle Schools participated in "Stuff the Bus" with the bus drivers! All together, they collected just over 600 items to donate to Elmore and Woodville food pantries. As a fun bonus, the students got to put their vote for a staff member to get "pied" at the end of the week during an all-school assembly. Mr. Davis and Ms. Lafontaine ended up tying and both were hit with a pie by a student. Great job collecting goods, Wildcats! #WoodmoreNation

Online tickets for the football playoff game Friday at Fairview H.S. are now available at: https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets. Tickets are $11 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets will also be available at the gate. WHS is in Div. VI, region 22. Game time is 7 p.m.

If you have not already heard, our Marching Band did PHENOMENAL yesterday! The Woodmore High School Wildcats Marching Band earned the top rating of Superior at the OMEA State Marching Band Finals hosted on Sunday, October 27th! Congratulations for an outstanding season and great results at State!

The varsity football team all but assured themselves of the first OHSAA playoff appearance since 2001 with a 21-17 win at home over Lakota. Landon Rich rushed for three touchdowns and 307 yards on 42 carries to lead the Wildcats. They will find out Sunday about the playoffs.
