Our high school put on an amazing program to recognize our local veterans! After serving lunch, students lined the halls to welcome the veterans into the gym. There was a performance by the choir, the jazz band, and a great speech from Retired Master Chief Chris Chisholm.

Biology students worked with the SCOPE program from the University of Toledo today. They remotely operated a scanning electron microscope and saw samples ranging from bacteria to a butterfly wing. Great experience for our Biology students!
Senior Lounge furniture has been delivered and assembled. Thanks to Emma and Madi Hammer and Layla McGinnis for helping unpack and assemble the furniture. Special shout out to our Student Council for helping purchase the furniture!
The high school's Key Club is sponsoring it's annual Food Drive November 6 - November 17. The Food Drive benefits the Cherry Street Mission. Key Club has a goal of 1000 items this year. They accept donations of non-perishable food in jars, cans, and boxes. Donations can be dropped off in the high school lobby until Friday November 17th!
The Wildcat Quiz Team, under the expert tutelage of Ms. Ralston, is in action today vs the Elmwood Royals.

First day of the second quarter! Weekly schedule, lunch menu, Wildcats in Action, and a shoutout to our Marching Band. Our band earned an Excellent Rating (II) at state and our Flag Corp and Percussion both earned a Superior Rating (I). Great job band!
The High School Band performed very well at State earning an overall rating of Excellent! The Flag Corps and the Percussion both earned Superior Ratings!

Senior Emma Hammer finished 42nd (out of 194 runners) in the Div. III regional cross country meet this morning in Tiffin running a time of 20:34.86. Congratulations, Emma, and great season.

At the Woodmore Board of Education meeting last night, the high school named their October Senior and Student of the Month. Abby Sandrock was named the Senior OTM and Kelsey Kaylor was named the Student OTM. Congratulations to Abby and Kelsey!
With 5 goals in their win tonight over Genoa in the district semifinal, girls soccer player Kelsey Kaylor increased her season total to 39 a new school record, erasing the old mark of 34 set by Taylor Avers in 2010. It was the 9th time she has scored multiple goals in a game.
The girls soccer team posted a 6-1 win over Genoa in the Div. II district at Genoa. Woodmore will face Eastwood Saturday at 3 p.m. at Genoa. Kelsey Kaylor scored 5 goals and Izzy Helmke had the other Wildcat score. Layla McGinnis had 10 saves in goal. WHS led 4-1 at haltime.

Emma Hammer placed 6th in the Div. III district meet this morning in Findlay to earn a ticket to the regional meet next Saturday in Tiffin. She ran 20:35. Mallory Meggitt just missed a regional bid placing 23rd in 21:45. Drake Blausey placed 31st in 18:44 to lead the boys.
