Woodmore junior running back Landon Rich has earned third-team Div. VI all-state honors as selected by the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association. Rich rushed for a school-record 1,823 yards and 18 touchdowns. He helped the Wildcats to a state playoff berth, the first since 2001.
Last Friday, some of our High School students went to the Toledo Museum of Art with Ms. Peace and Mr. Fannin! What an awesome opportunity for our Wildcats!

The girls high school wrestling team placed seventh in the 24-team Bryan Invite. Addison was the tourney champion at 130 pounds while Satori Alter was third at 155 pounds. Vida Hernandez was fourth at 120 pounds and Stella Strong was fifth at 140 pounds.
The high school wrestling team finished third in the 22-team Derr Invite at Northwood. Michael Seeger won the 190-pound weight class while Landon Rich (175), Aiden Cordy (138), and Wyatt Thieroff (120) each placed third. Bailey Jendrzejak was fourth at 215.
The varsity girls basketbal team earned a 47-11 win at home over New Riegel as Kara Schneider and Ariana Florio each had 14 points. The JV team won a 2-quarter contest, 26-3. Emma Hahn scored 10 points, Abbie Schmeltz and Lilian Runion each had six points.
The boys JV basketball team defeated North Baltimore at home, 49-15. Logan Campbell scored 14 points and Caden Hilt added 13 points. The boys freshman team lost 45-25 at Lake as Parker Boss scored 10 points and Ryne Donley added six points.
The boys varsity basketball team earned a 57-49 ovetime win over North Baltimore at home. Woodmore won the overtime, 10-2. Brady Thatcher scored 18 points , Brody Ish 13, and Carson Slates 12.

The varsity boys basketball team lost a 70-68 decision at home to Port Clinton in a game in which four points was the largest lead for either team in the last five minutes of the contest. Carson Slates led the way with 29 points and Brady Thatcher added 22 points.
The JV boys basketball team lost 55-28 at home to Port Clinton. Freshmen Collin Perkins and Ish Nagy each scored seven points for the Wildcats.
The boys freshmen basketball team lost a 41-28 decision at home to Port Clinton. Parker Boss led the Wildcats with 14 points, which included four three -point field goals. Mason McGee added 10 points.
The varsity girls basketball team earned a 64-59 win at home over Genoa. Woodmore scored the last seven points in a closely contested game. Ariana Florio scored 14 points, Camille Strong 11, Brooke Lowry 10, and Alivia Smirth 10. Florio also had 10 rebounds.
The middle school girls basketball teams lost home games to Calvert - the 7th grade lost, 10-2 in two quarters; and the 8th grade lost, 25-16. Emilee Barr scored the two points for the 7th grade; Alexys Becerra led the 8th grade with 7 points.
The Marine ‘Toys for Tots’ program brings kids hope and joy in the form of toys, books, and much needed resources. Please help support disadvantaged children by donating a new, unwrapped toy or book. There are two boxes in the main lobby of the high school to place your donation. Donations will be accepted through Friday, December 13. Our Jazz Band was recently selected to perform at OSBA Capital Conference yesterday! What an amazing honor - and they did outstanding! Well done Wildcats!

Our high school had their annual Veterans Day Luncheon and recognition program today. With performances by Justin Kigar, Rylan Vinson, the Symphonic Chorale, Jazz Band, a collection of great student speakers, and last but certainly not least, our guest speaker, Petty Officer Second Class Ross Wolford, it was a moving tribute to our Veterans.
