The varsity softball team lost its Sandusky Bay Conference River Division opener at home to Gibsonburg, 12-0, in five innings. The Wildcats got their only two hits in the game in the fifth inning as Taylor Hill and Olivia Scavio both singled.

The varsity baseball game today (March 27) will be played AT Gibsonburg at 5 p.m. The JV baseball game at Gibsonburg today is cancelled. The varsity softball game today will be played as scheduled at Woodmore (vs. Gibsonburg) at 5 p.m.

The varsity softball team was a 9-1 winner on the road at North Baltimore. Cameran Quisno went the distance on the mound striking out 10. Kara Schneider had three hits and two RBI. Camille Strong and Kaitlyn Babka each had two RBI while Aubrey Becerra had two hits.

The varsity baseball team earned a 6-3 win at North Baltimore as Michael Seeger tossed a complete-game 1-hitter with 11 strikeouts. He did not allow an earned run. Seeger was also 2-3 at the plate with 2 RBI. The JV team lost 16-13 at home to Danbury in six innings.

The varsity softball team opened its season with a 10-0 win at home over Fostoria in 5 innings. Cameran Quisno struck out 12 on the mound and was 2-2 with three RBI at the plate. Aubrey Becerra had a 2-run triplee and Camille Strong had 3 hits and and an RBI.

The varsity baseball team lost its season opener at home to Fostoria by a 10-9 score in 6 innings. The game was called because of darkness. Parker Hahn had 2 RBI, Luke Avers had a 2-run single, HarryLaMunyon had 2 hits and 2 runs scored and Michael Seeger had 2 runs scored.

Today, the cast of Woodmore's musical, "Annie" gave a sneak peak performance to the elementary and middle school students. If you haven't secured your tickets yet, do so soon! Performances start tonight and run through Sunday. For ticket information, contact 419-704-7807. Anyone attending the show on Friday evening may bring a canned good or two that will be donated to the local food pantry. We've also included some photos from the dress rehearsal! Looks like it's going to be a great show!!

Art Show season is in full swing! Congratulations to the following students: Ava Rich's photos, Orange Bacteria and Roses on My Grave, and Lili Trevino's photos, Inspection and 52 Pickup, are all in the Annual Photo Contest from the Photo Club of Toledo! Amira Murphy's work, Ascension, and Brooklynn Neal's work, Asphyxiation, both made it into the Ohio Governor's Youth Art Show! Their pieces will travel to Columbus and will be on display there until May. Great work Wildcats!!

Last Friday, our Woodmore Concert Band absolutely rocked their performances at the OMEA district level competition! They received a I, which is a "Superior" rating! This qualified them to perform at the state competition in April. Way to go Wildcats!!

This Saturday, March 9th, our High School Choir members will be competing in the OMEA District Contest. All students need to be at the high school main entrance by 9:15AM with a group warm up in the choir room at 9:30. The buses will be leaving at 10AM for Oak Harbor High School. The Men's Choir will perform at 11, the Women's Choir will perform at 2:20, and the Symphonic Chorale will perform at 3:40. The bus will return back to Woodmore High School at 4:40. Rich Wagner, a Woodmore alumnus, will be inducted into the Ohio High School Wrestling Coaches Assoc. Hall of Fame before the state finals in Columbus on Sunday afternoon. Mr. Wagner is a 1972 graduate and was the first Wildcat state qualifier in 1971. Congratulations, Rich.
