
The boys HS track and field team finished sixth in the River Division at the Sandusky Bay Conference Championships with 47 points. Drake Blausey was the division champ at 800 meters and he was third in the 400. Landon Rich was second in the 100 and third in the 200.

The varsity baseball team lost a 2-0 decision at home to Lakota. Cole Potridge had the only Wildcat hit, an infield single in the fourth inning. Trace Murphy started and went six innings and he did not allow an earned run while striking out eight. Lakota had five hits.

The varsity softball team defeated Lakota, 8-4, to advance in the Div. IV state tournament. They play Danbury Monday at 4 p.m. at Clyde H.S. in the district semifinal. Cameran Quisno tossed a 6-hit, complete game with 4 strikeouts. Kaitlyn Babka and Taylor Hill had 2 RBI.

The varsity softball OHSAA tournament game this afternoon at home vs. Lakota has been postponed and re-scheduled for tomorrow (May 10) at 5 p.m.

The varsity baseball game this afternoon at New Riegel has been cancelled.

The JV baseball team lost a 12-5 decision at Gibsonburg. Wesley Kayser had two hits and scored two runs and Keegan Strong had two hits and an RBI. Blane Overmyer started and pitched five innings allowing five earned runs. Kayser and Blake Avers also pitched.

The HS girls track team is third in the River Division afer the first day of the SBC Championships and the boys team did not score. Addison Overmyer was second in the pole vault and Caydie Buchan was second in the 3200. The 3200 relay placed third. Most meet finals on Friday.

The varsity baseball team was a 10-1 winner at home over Danbury. Parker Hahn tossed a complete-game, six-hitter with eight strikeouts. Gavin Donley had three hits and scored three runs. Luke Avers had one hit and two RBI while Keil Almroth had a hit and scored three runs.

The vasity softball team earned a 2-1 win at home over Danbury. Cameran Quinso pitched a complete-game 7-hitter with 7 strikeouts and no earned runs allowed. Kelsey Kaylor had four hits, including the game-winning RBI single, while Camille Strong had 3 hits and Olivia Scavio 2.

The JV baseball team posted a 13-3 win at Danbury. Keegan Strong started and worked thee innings and Blake Avers finished the final two innings. Wesley Kayser had two hits and six other players had a hit. Five different players scored two runs.

The WHS varsity softball team lost a 6-5 decision at Hopewell-Loudon. Cameran Quisno tossed a complete game allowing 9 hits and 2 earned runs. She also had 2 hits and 2 RBI while Kaitlyn Babka had 2 RBI. Emmaleigh Lawrence had the other RBI and Kelsey Kaylor had 2 hits.

The Wildcat varsity baseball team lost a 6-5 decision at Calvert. Woodmore scored all of its runs in the last 3 innings, but Calvert scored 3 in the bottom of the seventh. Michael Seeger went the distance in the mound allowing 8 hits and 3 earned runs. WHS had 7 hits.

The MS boys track and field team easily captured the River Division team title at the Sandusky Bay Conference Championships at Port Clinton with 160 points. Robert Seeger won three events and Coleton Shaner two as the Wildcats had at least one placer in 15 of the 16 events.


The girls MS track and field team finished second in the River Division at the Sandusky Bay Conference Championships at Port Clinton with 95 points. The 800 and 3200 relay teams finished first along with Karli Heins in the 400. Woodmore placed in 12 events.


The HS girls track team won the Oak Harbor Invite with 116 points. Azure Travis won four events (100, 200, 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles), three of them in meet record times. Emma Hammer won the 800 as the Wildcats placed in 16 of the 17 events.
