How's this for a full 2 days at the office - senior Azure Travis, after advancing to the finals in 4 events yesterday at the Div. III state track meet, came back today to repeat as state champ in both hurdle events and placed seventh in both the 100 and 200. Congrats, Azure.

Woodmore senior Azure Travis advanced to the finals in all 4 events at the Div. III state meet. She had the fastest time in the 100 hurdles, 5th-fastest time in the 100, 3rd-fastest time in the 300 hurdles, and the 8th-fastest time in the 200. Finals begin at 6:30 on Friday.
To end the day, the high school had a clap out for Azure and Emma as they head to the state track meet! Good luck!
The graduating class of 2024 walked through the elementary and middle school today to rounds of applause and cheers from their fellow Wildcats!

SENIOR PARADE CANCELED!!!!
We were holding out hope that the weather would clear but it doesn't look like it's going to cooperate. Unfortunately we will be canceling the senior parade this evening.
CLASS OF 2024 SENIOR PARADE
Come out and celebrate the Woodmore High School Class of 2024 with our annual senior parade! The parade will start at Woodville K8 building at 7:00 PM and will end at the High School. Check out the parade route below. Come out and cheer on the 56th graduating class from Woodmore High School!
The HS girls track team finsihed fourth in the Div. III regional meet at Fostoria with 50.5 points. Azure Travis qualified in four events (100H, 200, 300H, 200) for the state meet and Emma Hammer placed second in the 800 to qualify. In all, WHS placed in eight events.
The boys HS track team finished the Div. III regional meet with five points as Drake Blausey finished fifth in the 800 with a time of 2:00.13 and sophomore teammate Myles Byrd placed eighth in the same event with a time of 2:03.29.
At our most recent Board Meeting, the following individuals were recognized for their amazing contributions to our Woodmore students!
R.O.A.R. Awards went to:
Lindsay Sabo - "She's special and very valuable to not only the children but to the aprents that get the pleasure of knowing her."
Lydia Kigar - "Lydia ALWAYS treats everyone with respect - from the students to the staff and even families of students. She is always cheery and in great spirits!"
Excellence in Education went to:
Pastor Stephen Lutz, a volunteer at the elementary - "He truly goes above and beyond for our students and his biweekly visits mean so much to our classroom!"

Landon Rich was the only male competitor for the Wildcats on the first day of the Div. III regional meetat Fostoria HS and he placed 12th in the 100 with a time of 11.44, which was not good enough to advance to Friday's finals.
The girls HS track team did not score a point on the first day of the Div. III regional meet but they had two relays (1660, 400) and senior Azure Travis in four events (100H, 300H, 100, 200) advance to Friday's finals at Fostoria HS.
The varsity baseball team lost a 9-1 decision on the road at New Riegel to conclude the season. Parker Hahn had two of the four Woodmore hits and he had the only RBI. Keil Almroth started and pitched 5.2 innings allowing eight hits and six earned runs.
The varsity softbal l team lost a 10-0 decision in five innings at home to Lakota in the final game of the season. Olivia Scavio started and pitched 2+ innings and Taylor Hill finished the game. Hill had three of the four Woodmore hits as the Wildcats were outhit, 12-4.
The boys HS track team finished ninth in the Div. III district meet with 26 points. Drake Blausey was the district champ in the 800 and Myles Byrd was third in the same race. Landon Rich also advanced to the regional meet next week in the 100 placing fourth in the 100.
The girls HS track team was the Div. III district runner-up with 112 points, 2.5 points less than Margaretta. Azure Travis won 4 events (100H, 100, 300H, 200) and Emma Hammer won the 800. The Wildcats advanced 11 athletes in 12 events to the regional meet next week at Fostoria.
The varsity baseball team lost a 5-0 decision at home to St. Mary CC. Parker Hahn started and pitched 6.0 inings allowing four earned runs and striking out four. Four different players had one hit and Woodmore was outhit, 8-4.
