
The varsity baseball and softball games this afternoon at Hopewell-Loudon and the HS quad track meet at home have all been cancelled.

Our March R.O.A.R. awards were handed out at the most recent board meeting. Mrs. Kristina Curtis, Social Studies teacher at the high school, and Mr. Robert Chavez, Head Custodian at the elementary school, were chosen!

The Woodmore National Honor Society is hosting their 5th annual 3v3 Basketball Tournament to raise money for the Engaging Opportunities Foundation! Teams will need to have at least one member who is 14 (otherwise open for all ages), and each roster can have up to 5 members. Each team will be guaranteed two games that will be played half court with two ten minute halves.
The cost is $50 per team, payable by cash or check (make out to Woodmore NHS). You can register via the link below, or by stopping in to the high school office and filling out a paper registration form. All registrations should be submitted by April 12th at 3PM. At that time, brackets will be built.
Spectators are welcome to watch from the balcony! There is a $1 admission charge for anyone not playing in the tournament. Doors will open at noon with play beginning at 1PM. If you have any questions, please contact the NHS advisor, Mrs. Hintz, at ehintz@woodmoreschools.com.

The HS boys track and field team was third in a tri-meet at Hopewell-Loudon with 24 points. Adyn Smith won the pole vault (9-6), Landon Rich won the 200 (25.99), and the 1600 relay team won in 4:10.36 - Myles Byrd, Drake Blausey, Keith Gillingham, and Ethan Greer.

The girls HS track and field team won a tri-meet at Hopewell-Loudon with 58 points. Seven different athletes won indivudal events and two relays (3200, 1600) were victorious. Emma Hammer, Azure Travis, and Addie Pleasnick won events and were on winning relay teams.

The varsity baseball team lost a 6-3 decision at Gibsonburg. Woodmore had just three hits - senior Luke Avers a double and RBI, and singles from Michael Seeger and Harry LaMunyon. Three Woodmore pitchers yielded two earned runs and struck out six.

The varsity softball team lost its Sandusky Bay Conference River Division opener at home to Gibsonburg, 12-0, in five innings. The Wildcats got their only two hits in the game in the fifth inning as Taylor Hill and Olivia Scavio both singled.

The varsity baseball game today (March 27) will be played AT Gibsonburg at 5 p.m. The JV baseball game at Gibsonburg today is cancelled. The varsity softball game today will be played as scheduled at Woodmore (vs. Gibsonburg) at 5 p.m.

The varsity softball team was a 9-1 winner on the road at North Baltimore. Cameran Quisno went the distance on the mound striking out 10. Kara Schneider had three hits and two RBI. Camille Strong and Kaitlyn Babka each had two RBI while Aubrey Becerra had two hits.

The varsity baseball team earned a 6-3 win at North Baltimore as Michael Seeger tossed a complete-game 1-hitter with 11 strikeouts. He did not allow an earned run.
Seeger was also 2-3 at the plate with 2 RBI. The JV team lost 16-13 at home to Danbury in six innings.

The varsity softball team opened its season with a 10-0 win at home over Fostoria in 5 innings. Cameran Quisno struck out 12 on the mound and was 2-2 with three RBI at the plate. Aubrey Becerra had a 2-run triplee and Camille Strong had 3 hits and and an RBI.

The varsity baseball team lost its season opener at home to Fostoria by a 10-9 score in 6 innings. The game was called because of darkness. Parker Hahn had 2 RBI, Luke Avers had a 2-run single, HarryLaMunyon had 2 hits and 2 runs scored and Michael Seeger had 2 runs scored.

The varsity baseball and softball games tomorrow morning at home vs. Northwood, and the JV baseball game tomorrow morning at Northwood have all been cancelled.

Today, the cast of Woodmore's musical, "Annie" gave a sneak peak performance to the elementary and middle school students. If you haven't secured your tickets yet, do so soon! Performances start tonight and run through Sunday. For ticket information, contact 419-704-7807. Anyone attending the show on Friday evening may bring a canned good or two that will be donated to the local food pantry.
